Septemberfest Parking and Food Booth

Posted Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016

Looking for a place to park at Septemberfest? Want to support District 54 students simply by parking your car?

The Schaumburg Township Elementary School Foundation will manage the parking lot at Collins School on Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4. For $5 you can park your car in the lot at 407 S. Summit Drive in Schaumburg, and walk a short distance to the festival at the Schaumburg Municipal Center.

On Monday, Sept. 5, the Foundation will partner with Pilot Pete’s, volunteering in a food tent on Septemberfest’s Not-for Profit Day. Stop by, grab a bite and a portion of the proceeds will be given to the Foundation.

The Foundation raises funds to support programs not fully funded by school budgets or tax dollars, including the following:

  • Breakfast programs within the district, so students can start each day ready to learn;
  • After-school STEM programs, so all students have the opportunity to become innovators, practice collaboration and be prepared for the exciting opportunities in their futures;
  • Scholarship grants to students from low-income households to participate in extracurricular activities, so they have access to the same opportunities as all children.

Thanks in advance for your support.
